Don't know where to put this, but it has come up in conversation before, and is going to become a serious issue for Mac users when the Catalina upgrade happens (all 32-bit support will be withdrawn).

If, like me, you primarily buy ebooks from Amazon, be warned that the latest version of K4Mac/K4PC has not been jail broken. If you're on a PC, that's OK - keep your old version of K4PC and disable the automatic update.

If you're on a Mac, the next version of OS X is withdrawing 32-bit support so the jail broken K4Mac will no longer work. You need to follow the linked instructions before you upgrade to OS X Catalina: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3819708&postcount=508. (The full thread is here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283371, and the post above is on page 35).

Even so, there's no guarantee things will continue to work. Also, I noticed that K4Mac version 1.26 no longer allows you to disable automatic updates... Whether upgrading from within 1.23.1 keeps that preference, I don't know. However, it should be possible to keep a virtualised older OS X with a working set-up: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3869090
