I wanted to send you all an update on Modiphius during the lockdown and have something special for our community to say thanks for all your support. I've long been passionate about John Carter of Mars since I was a kid so if you head over to ourwebstore and use the code BARSOOM at checkout you can score yourself a free copy of the John Carter of Mars RPG core book in PDF before the end of April. It's a really streamlined version of our 2d20 system so if you like what you see the codeVIRGINIA will get you 20% off anything in the John Carter RPG & miniatures collection.
John Carter of Mars free in PDF and discounts on the line.

Meanwhile, Modiphius have restarted shipping.

Not sure when the price dropped on this or how long it will remain so low, but the Breachworld RPG, based on Mini-Six and the D6 System, is currently on sale for 81p in PDF. Many of the supplements are free or pay-what-you-want. It's a post-apocalypse alien invasion dimension-hopping affair, if that's your bag.

The Business Card Dungeon is a small dungeon stocked by dice rolls on a series of tables.
Given the current pandemic situation, I wanted to contribute something to help out my fellow gamers who are stuck at home, maybe playing on VTT or in chat rooms. Unfortunately, Wintertree Software mostly produces things like fonts, which are probably not going to fit the bill all that well. Then I thought of my business cards.
You see, my business cards are not quite the ordinary sort. The front is what you'd expect of a typical business card, but the back has a dungeon map and the URL to download the tables that could stock it. Not everybody wants to download the free TableMaster demo to run them, or has a compatible computer. But TableMaster tables are just lightly reformatted versions of paper and dice tables, after all! That conversion could certainly go the other way.
This is a simple little dungeon, with a map and the tables (30 in total) to describe and stock its 8 locations. Every time you roll up a new dungeon, you'll get something different. And there's no reason you couldn't add a lot more descriptions to those tables. They're fairly short because they were made to work with the free demo version of TableMaster, but your only limit is the size of your dice. It's free; if it entertains you and your friends for an hour or two, I'll feel amply rewarded.
The first 8 pages are the actual dungeon; the remainder is a complete Wintertree catalog.

Not something you can play, but it is rpg related, so it may be of interest (and it’s available in real ebook formats!) - from an email I had from Game Designer’s Workshop just now:

The Science Fiction in Traveller by Shannon Appelcline is free on DriveThruRPG in various formats until the end of May.

The Science-Fiction In Traveller

We have made this title free through the end of May.

“Award-winning reviewer Shannon Appelcline (Designers & Dragon) investigates the science-fiction literature that shaped the structure and content of the Traveller science-fiction role-playing game. He reviews and discusses the broad expanse of SF that influenced Marc Miller as he designed the massive background universe of Traveller, and then gives equal consideration to the novels and short stories that were inspired by Traveller.”

At download, you can select the files you need: Kindle, iBook, or PDF.

Interesting. I enjoyed reading the history of Dungeons and Dragons that Shannon Appelcline had as a Kickstarter I believe.

So will get this one about Traveller's SF inspirational material. And it is free to boot too. Thanks.
