The Tavern Move is Complete

And we're back! The Tavern is now up and running again. Apologies that the process took longer than anticipated. This was primarily due to the fact that the domain transfer got stuck in the middle and ultimately the process had to be manually completed by my new hosting provider. I then had to redo the database backup I took originally, thanks to Servage having some rather novel ideas about what constitutes a migration, but I'm pleased to say that everything has now been resolved.

As far as I can tell, everything is set up as it was, but if you find anything missing or broken, please let me know. I know that in the past some people have had issues accessing the site and were getting various SSL errors. I'd be grateful if you would let me know whether or not these issues are still present.

Some of you will be aware that we have had some issues with emails not getting delivered in the past. I tried the email test built into the forum software, which has always failed for me in the past, and it passed and delivered the email to me instantly. So hopefully that problem is now fixed. As a side-effect, some of you may find yourselves receiving emails you haven't previously received. If you don't want to receive them, you'll find instructions for opting out in the thread titled "Emails" elsewhere on the Board Management forum.

This migration marks a slight change in how the Tavern is operated. In the past, Tom handled the hosting of the site, while I provided the forum software and did most of the technical stuff. This has caused a few issues in the recent past, with me needing access to his account to investigate problems. So we decided that when we migrated to a new hosting service, I would take over the domain. The Tavern now runs on my hosting account, which makes it easier for me to handle the technical management of the site. So any technical issues or questions about the operation of the site should now be addressed directly to me.

Thanks everyone, it's good to know that the various connectivity issues have now been resolved.

I'm grateful for the offer of donations, but I don't have a mechanism at the moment to manage them. For now, just buy me a drink if you see me at a convention and we'll call it even :).
All looking good to me. The only snag I'm finding is that emails alerting me that there's been a new post to a thread I've subscribed to send me to a error message:
Oops! We ran into some problems.
The requested page could not be found.
(In this instance it was this page linked to:
Can't see an obvious reason why from my end - I'm logged in and the alert bell on the site acknowledges the new post and clicking through there takes me to the right page.
I actually got the same error page when I clicked on the alert bell notification this morning. It hadn't happened before, and just reloading the page and going in through the front worked fine.
