2019-06-18 15_56_52-Royal Mail - Total Customs Charges Paid _ Customer Reference Number 2C.png

This is for some $10 dice as part of the Over the Edge Kickstarter.

The pledge cost $50, $40 for the book $10 for the dice. The fulfillment company split the packages to avoid VAT. No VAT on the $40 book as it's ineligible. No VAT on the $10 dice as they fall under the £15 limit. Good plan (y)

However the fulfilment company fucked up and just put the same value on both packages i.e. $50 so now I have to pay for customs charges.

I've paid it on one, don't know about the other yet but it's held up somewhere so they'll probably be customs charges.

To add injury to insult if I'd not bothered backing the Kickstarter I'd have already had my books by now and cheaper never mind the customs charges, which are on top!

Bought the paperback of Cepheus Light. Arrived yesterday. Fist impressions rather good, seems to preserve the essence of the parent game without all the fiddly rules relating to computers and such. Already used the star ship construction rules to knock up a 300t non-standard armed yacht/freighter. Have a vague plan to use the book to run a campaign in Paul Elliot's Outworld Authority Sector.

My copy of the book arrived today - no mess ups with that part at least. Told not to pay the tax on the dice, and they're going to send replacements.

So, Tiny Epic Mechs arrived today. Perhaps that will shame me into getting Tiny Epic Quest to the table as well.
Has to be said that Gamelyn manage kickstarters well; early delivery and no fuss.

Yeah I got the Spire at Expo and then bought three of the £4 campaign frames last week. It's a great setting and the system looks just on the right side of handwavium for my liking
That reminds me, so did I, did you get any refund from them for postage? Been a bit too polite to ask but then I have just gone and ordered....

So, not strictly an RPG (but if @First Age is posting album covers...) and I definitely want to use this for an RPG background. I suspect I’ll pick up the CoC7 book as well.

Hat tip to @nclarke for pointing me at this.
