[watching] Why are Legacy Sci-Fi Franchises Failing?

Ah, something different! Now that has my vote. A change from 'this sold like hot cakes last time we made it, so it should sell when we make it again'.
Yes, it is frustrating to get yet another Spider-Man reboot, or another Fantastic Four reboot, when there are so many stories, even superhero stories untold, or even the same heroes, but taking the story forward like the Logan movie instead of having another Wolverine reboot.

And, I reiterate, one reason Black Panther had audiences beyond the core American movie watching demographic was its more international world view from a different perspective. Many people I know from various African countries living in the Diaspora viewed that movie, not for superhero action, but for a more diverse cultural view of heroism.
